OSWEGO SPEEDWAY PRESS RELEASE

It Gets Better With Age!

AUGUST PROVES KIND TO GOUTERMOUT AS HE TAKES HIS SECOND WIN AT OSWEGO

SPEEDWAY WHILE KRIS MEYN GETS CAREER FIRST AND BOBBY NEWMAN SCORES SECOND OF SEASON

IN THE SUPER STOCKS. MIKE BOND AND DOUG REAUME CLINCH UNDECIDED TITLES

Oswego, NY - The month of August has been extremely kind to Fulton, NY's Bob
Goutermout, unlike in previous years. Bob, after two second place finishes in
the Twin 30's and a win on August 9, was able to catch leader Todd Stowell on
a restart to take win number two for the month. Stowell, not exactly large in
the luck department, had led from the initial green, losing what would have
been his first of the year with just five laps to go. In the limited supers, a
bizarre chain of events gave Kris Meyn, of Williamson, NY, the win, and the
championship to Mike Bond in a close point battle. Durhamville, NY's Bobby
Newman picked up his second of the year in the super stocks.

Bob Goutermout and Otto Sitterly used a late race caution to charge by Todd
Stowell on the restart. Goutermout was all smiles in victory lane. Said the
seven-year supermodified veteran, "The car was going great tonight. I have to
start up for apologizing to Joe. My almost spinning out there caused him to spin
out to avoid me. But, my car is going good. I want to race clean and I don't
want to get into anybody to get by him. We're ready for Classic. We just have
to get it ready to go the long distance next week. What momentum going into
next week.. two wins, two seconds. After the last two years, this is the way we
want to go into Classic.. I'd like to thank the whole crew and my sponsors -
Darcey's Collision, Light's Auto Parts (NAPA), Amerigas, and Babcock Highway
Supply."

Following Goutermout past Stowell on that last restart was Otto Sitterly who
took over second. The man of few words commented afterwards, "Second
place...one short. We were tight in the middle. If I ran into something, I don't know.
I don't race that way. We're looking forward to the Classic next week."

Coming up for third on the final circuit, Brian Sweeney was not exactly
ecstatic about his run. "I quit...buy my car. You can print that. The car was
probably the worst the car has been in the feature in the last month. It had a real
bad push coming out and I couldn't get on the throttle. I got alongside Todd
a couple times and he took me out to the wall. What are you going to do,
that's racing I guess. Next week is the one we want anyway."

With Joe Gosek already clinching the 2003 Supermodified track title, this was
a night for thinking a week ahead to Classic time for many drivers, although
some spots behind Joe were up for grabs. Todd Stowell took off from his
outside pole spot and easily put some distance on the field, but Brian Sweeney soon
closed up that gap.

A lap 13 yellow slowed things which saw Dave Trytek, the second place man in
points, saw his second possibly down the drain when he was hooked off the
track. Keith Gilliam was able to resume the race. Dave's teammate Jeff Holbrook,
who sat in fourth in points, ironically pulled pitside from some adjustments to
the 35 as the 70 was towed in.

Stowell pulled away from the field and set a torrid pace out front as
Sweeney, Goutermout, Joe Gosek, Otto Sitterly, Tim Snyder, Tim Gareau, Jerry Curran
and Shawn Muldoon looked for racing room.

The next yellow fell for the new track champion Gosek when Goutermout got a
little loose. Joe checked up and Otto tagged him from behind. Gosek had to go
to the rear after being turned around. It was not a big deal said Joe later. "I
think I had a bullseye on my butt coming off two. Otto was racing hard,
Goutermout might have checked up in front of me and I got spun around. It was no
big deal. It's tough racing out there. To get another top five going into next
week...we'll be all right."

Another flag flew before a lap was done when Tim Gareau's 5 broke a radius
rod and he went off on the hook.

Behind Stowell on this restart a battle developed between Sweeney, Snyder and
Goutermout using all the grooves in attempts to gain spots and catch Stowell.
Pat Abold parked the Hawksby 22 soon thereafter as he was on board preparing
for his upcoming Classic run.

Snyder almost got alongside Stowell on lap 25 when Bobby Santos III had a
tire going down on the 44. While in the pits, Santos was held for a leaking
overflow which lost him a lap.

Another hectic restart for Stowell had Sweeney, Goutermout, Snyder and
Sitterly bearing down on him again, but he was able to hold his lead and keep it
while the race went green. Behind him Sweeney and Goutermout dueled as Snyder ran
alongside Sitterly lap after lap - until lap 37. Snyder had been reported to
be having some fluid emanating from his 0 and possibly onto his tire. The
black flag flew for the winner of the Twin 30's, but before he could pull in, his
car quit high off turn four with an overheating problem.

Stowell really felt the pressure this time as Goutermout got alongside him on
the restart green. Right behind Sweeney and Sitterly were two abreast as
Gosek had worked back into fifth ahead of Howie Page, Jerry Curran and a way back,
Gary Morton, prepping for Classic in the Strong 96.

One lap later, Goutermout and Sitterly were able to make the pass as the
tires faded on Stowell. With one to go, Sweeney got by Stowell for third. Fourth
was where the leader of the first 40 laps would end up. Todd said while walking
back from the track scales, "Would of, could of, should of. If Timmy had come
in when he got blackflagged, I might have had it. My tires went away on the
last caution. The car got loose and burned the right rear. I few guys got by.
But, going into Classic a top five is good. We'll adjust the car a little bit
more and what we are shooting for is next week. We weren't really coming into
tonight to get a win, just a good setup for Classic. I'd like to thank all my
sponsors for sticking with me, my crew for all the hours they put in trying to
get this car here and competitive, my family, friends and fans...thank you all!"

And, finishing fifth, after having to make his way through the field twice
was Joe Gosek, who, in a ceremony during intermission, had been lauded for
achieving his first-ever track title by Oswego Mayor John Gosek (his cousin).

Less than 30 points separated the top three - Mike Bond, Gregg Davis and
Kevin Knopp - in the limited super point race going into the night's racing. Bond
finished fourth in his heat. Knopp won his while Davis went into the consi.
The anticipating mounted as the limiteds took to the track. It was rookie Steve
Abt who led the first laps as Jim Guyle and Kris Meyn chased.

The race slowed on lap 7 for a quick yellow and on the restart, Mike Bond was
a little too anxious and he was called for a jump. This would have penalized
him to the back of the lead lap on the next yellow. Unfortunately for Bond,
things just weren't going well. The next yellow was for him as a hub broke on
the 90. Bond was towed off, leaving the point battle perhaps up to Davis and
Knopp now.

Meanwhile up front, Abt and Meyn had created a front-running duo leaving
Guyle, Rob Pullen, Jack Patrick, Kevin Battelle, Bob Andrews and more behind.
Knopp and Davis were still shy of the top ten.

On lap 14, half the pack slid around in turn three with only Dave Cliff the
towed car. All the rest scrambled back to the action.

On this restart, Kris Meyn grabbed the lead from Abt and tried to flee the
tension behind.

Yellow struck again on lap 18 for the 09 of Ryan Coleman who was able to
restart. Bond, whose crew never quit, put him back out in the race, albeit four
laps down. This may have decided the outcome of the point race. Another quick
yellow flew for Doug Cliff on the restart allowing Bond to have a few cars
behind him on the restart here.

Meyn took off seeing a career-first as a possibility now. Back in the pack,
Chris Proud, who came into the event in fourth place in points, was holding off
Davis and Knopp as he road eighth or ninth. Unfortunately, Davis tagged Proud
coming off four, putting Chris hard into the front outside wall. Proud was
not happy with Davis when he exited his bent up car and showed the displeasure
to Davis as he pulled away to take a spot at the rear of the field.

Kris Meyn shrugged off the challenges of Abt and Battelle on the restart, but
yellow flew one more time. In a bizarre chain of events, it was Knopp now
heading pitside with a flat tire.

Meyn put his foot down for the last five and pulled away from Abt, Battelle,
Rob Pullen, JJ Andrews, Louie LeVea, Shawn Walker and Steve Austin. Battelle
suddenly began to lose ground and when the checkered waved, it was Meyn for his
first, Abt, for a great rookie finish, Pullen, Andrews and LeVea. Walker,
Austin, Battelle, Danny Kapuscinksi and Mike Barnes finished up the top ten.

Meyn was elated in victory lane. "This feels great. We've been starting so
far back here for a while. We finally got a good up front spot and we
capitalized on it. The car was running really good. I'm really psyched. I've always
wanted to get a win here. Now we got it, it's off my back. This is the place you
definitely want to win at. This is the career builder right here. We'll put
some new rubber on it and hope to repeat next week to put a little more money in
the process. We love running up here. We love the fans, and the competition.
Everyone has treated us really good."

And, after some tallying, Bond was determined to have held out for his
first-ever limited super title. He was being congratulated all around back in his
pit area. "The car was running great," said the Mexico, NY racer. " I couldn't
have asked for a better car. I was just out there biding my time and then the
hub broke and I went down laps. But, we finally had some good luck for a
change. What a night. Gregg (Davis) spins out. Kevin (Knopp) gets a flat tire. It
was pretty unusual. I've been trying for this for a long time. I'd just like to
thank everybody on the crew...Gregg and Mike Decaire. Mike's been with me
since day one. And, they are a bunch of hard-working guys. And, all the sponsors
on the car - Hat Trick Charters, Advance Auto, AC Green Trucking, Lindsley
Aggregates, Lewis & Tanner Paints, and Green Sneaks Lawn Care - every little bit
helps."

Doug Reaume, of Syracuse, NY, had only to start his heat to clinch the 2003
super stock championship in just his third season, and it was lucky that's all
he needed. The Wilber-Duck Chevy Buick, The Carpet Man and Volney Tire
sponsored 99 was involved in a scary-looking accident that occured right out of turn
three on the green of the super stock 20 lapper. Joe Skilinski's 4 and Doug
Reaume's 99 sat in three when the yellow was called when Kelly Miller's 8 came
onto the scene and lifted the 99 high in the air, lodging his car underneath.
Red was called to remove the 99 with all three cars being towed into the pits.
All would resume the action sometime during the race, with many layers of
sheet metal missing.

On the complete restart, Bobby Newman made a two car pass from his third
starting spot to steal the lead from George Knight and Chris Lupa in front of him.
It was all Newman after that.

Back in the pack, Knight, Bruce Stanton, Dwayne LeMay, Lupa, Dave Fetterly
and Joe Miller rubbed door panels as the race sped on.

Only one more caution fell on lap 16 when a piece of debris departed one of
the aforementioned mangled machines.

Newman was up to the challenge on this restart as he took off to sail under
the checkered ahead of Knight, Fetterly, who got Lupa on the last circuit, Lupa
and LeMay.

Next up is the grand finale, of the 2003 season, at Oswego. With Budweiser
Classic weekend beginning with practice and free pit party for fans on Friday,
the ISMA Super Nationals, Midget Championship and Limited Super Nationals on
Saturday and the 47th running of the Bud Int'l Classic on Sunday, Aug. 31.

TIM SNYDER TAKES BOTH TWIN 30'S AT OSWEGO ON ONE OF HIS SPONSOR'S NIGHTS; JOE

GOSEK CLINCHES FIRST-EVER CHAMPIONSHIP WHILE KEVIN BATTELLE AND JOE MILLER

TAKE LIMITED SUPER AND SUPER STOCK WINS

Oswego, NY - Hometown drivers Tim Snyder and Joe Gosek shared the spotlight
at Oswego Speedway Saturday night. Snyder, who's previous victory came in the
Oswego Classic in 2001, won both of the twin 30 supermodified features. Snyder
led from green to checkered flags in both supermodified features, leading all
60 laps of competition. Gosek, finished third and fifth, clinched his first
ever Oswego Speedway track championship after the night of racing.

The regular handicap system was used in the first race, as Snyder and Bob
Bond paced the 25 car field as they took to starter Bruce Lee's green flag.
Snyder wasted no time grabbing the lead, as he powered the 0 car to the front .
Gosek, Bob Goutermout and Otto Sitterly pulled their machines to the inside of
the race track to move to the front, while Jeff Holbrook and Keith Gilliam went
to the outside.

As the field shuffled, Snyder led, Goutermout, Bond, Gilliam, Bob Magner,
Sitterly, Holbrook, Bill Peri, Jerry Curran and Gosek. Snyder and Goutermout
pulled away, as they began to battle by themselves for the top spot. Further back,
Gosek began to pick his way through the traffic, as the field began to sort
out. Gosek worked by Curran and Holbrook, as he was up to seventh place.

Snyder clicked off a 17.19 lap, as and Goutermout built up a 1.27 second
advantage by lap 6.

The yellow lights flashed over the speedway on lap 7, as a multi-car mess in
the first turn slowed the field. Dave Trytek, Todd Stowell, and Ray Graham
were all involved, but all able to return to action after pit stops.

Goutermout pulled alongside Snyder on the restart, as the pair drag raced
into the first turn. Goutermout was on the inside, Snyder on the outside. They
raced side by side through the first turn, racing just inches apart. The caution
again came out as this battle was going on. Jerry Curran looped the 24 in
turn two.

Snyder grabbed the advantage on the restart, while Gosek was on his charge.
Joe passed Magner on the restart, and wasted no time picking his way by
Gilliam. The top five now read Snyder, Goutermout, Bond, Sitterly and Gosek. Snyder
stopped watches at 17.17, as he and Goutermout and raced away from the Bond,
Sitterly, and Gosek.

The lead duo picked up the pace, as they turned in consecutive laps at 17.09.
Snyder came into lapped traffic the first time at the halfway point of the
race, which he handled with ease on the outside. There were cars all over the
race track, as the leaders picked their way by. Goutermout trued to use the
lapped cars to his advantage, but he couldn't ,make a challenge on Snyder.

The lead two still maintained their 1.6 second advantage over the bumper to
bumper battle between Bond, Sitterly and Gosek. Lap 24 saw Sitterly move into
third as he wheeled his way by the Bond 25 car. With Snyder and Goutermout
still stuck in traffic, Sitterly began to chop away at the lead. He turned laps
two tenths of a second faster through the traffic. Snyder began to pull away
from Goutermout, as his lead was no up to a full second.

Sitterly ran out of laps, as he couldn't catch the leaders. Snyder cruised
the last laps at a 17.39 clip, and he crossed under the checkered flag .98
seconds ahead of Goutermout, who had Sitterly hot on his trail. Bond finished
fourth, while Gosek padded his point lead with a fifth place finish.

"This is the one I've been waiting for" a jubilant Snyder said in victory
lane. "The guys made a little tweak on it, and the car worked great. I knew Bob
was there. It makes it really special, as this is our sponsors night. Now,
we'll make another adjustment, and see what we can do in the second one."

"It was a fun race," second place finisher Goutermout said. The car was good,
and we'll take a second,. We still have one more to go."

The second feature was lines up with the heat race winners starting up front.
Ironically, the top two finishers of the first feature, started on the front
row for feature number two. Snyder and Goutermout resumed their battle, this
time it was in the second 30 lap race.

The pair raced side by side as they entered the first turn, neither giving an
inch to the other. As they raced turn three, the Snyder 0 inched ahead, and
the running order looked much like it did in the first feature. Snyder,
Goutermout, Bond, Gosek, Holbrook, Sitterly, Gilliam, Magner, Curran and Page.

A Craig Rayvals first turn spin slowed the action on lap 5

Gosek shot the white #50 to the outside of the track on the restart, and
grabbed the third spot from Bond. Gosek's 50 was overheating in the first feature,
maybe due to a faulty radiator cap. He knew coming into this second 30 lap
feature, that if he finished in front of his nearest rival in the points, Dave
Trytek, he could wrap up his first Oswego track championship.

Snyder worked out a three car length gap between himself and the
Goutermout-Gosek battle, while Bond and Sitterly were racing for fourth., The top five in
this race was already the same top five as in race number 1. Gosek tried an
outside pas son Goutermout on lap 8, but had to settle back in position. As they
battled, Snyder pulled away.

The halfway point of the race, saw Snyder stop watches at 17.46, as his lead
was now up to 1.48 seconds. Sitterly continued to work on Bond for fourth, but
had to back out. Snyder was back in lapped traffic, which he was using both
the inside and outside lanes. It appeared as he was enjoying himself on a
Saturday night cruise, as the 0 appeared to be as good as it has ever been. Snyder
turned in consistent laps at 17.29, and was putting an old fashioned stomping
on the field. With 10 laps to go, his lead was up to 2.31 seconds, and growing
each lap.

Further back, the seventh place battle was tight as Jerry Curran, Keith
Gilliam, Tim Gareau, Howard Page and Doug Didero raced inside and outside looking
for the spots. They raced like this for a few laps, as it was the best battle
on the race track.

Bond became a part of the Goutermout Gosek battle, as Sitterly fell back. The
yellow flag flew on lap 26, as Dave Halstead had a part break on the 34,
sending it out of the race. Snyder's impressive 2 second lead was now gone, as
he now had Goutermout, Gosek, Bond, and Sitterly on the back bumper of the high
flying 0 car.

Goutermout made a run on the inside when the green flag came out, but had to
back out. Snyder was in control of this one. The field fell back into line,
with no one being able to make a pass. Snyder again began to pull away, as he
was the dominant car this night. As the race wound down, he built his lead back
up. At the finish, he timed in at 17.45, and crossed under Bruce Lee's
checkered flag 8 car lengths ahead of Goutermout.

"What a night!", he exclaimed after the sweep. "I couldn't do it without my
guys. They put a great car under me tonight. This is what I wanted for years, a
win on a regular night of racing. The Classic win was great, but this is just
as good as that. The car drove great, and my crew and sponsors have been with
me for years and are all a big part of this. Thanks to everyone ."

"Finally!"' Joe Gosek said after clinching his championship. "23 years, and
we have it. There's been other things I have done in racing, but it's nice to
win your hometown track championship. It's maybe more for everyone that has
been with me along the way. My wife, my mother, Chuck and Tom Handley are my best
friends and have helped me along the way. All my friends and sponsors along
the way, there are a lot of them. It's not just me, we did it all together. We
finally have the championship!"

The limited supermodifieds have put on some of the tightest races of the year
at the local track, and this Saturday proved no different. Kevin Battelle
parlayed a good car, good starting spot, and some good old racing savvy into his
first ever limited supermodified feature event win. Battelle started the race
in fourth spot, and bided his time, as the race wore on.

Early leader Star Matteson gave way to Shawn Walker at the lap 14 mark.
Battelle, riding in third, got by Matteson, then set his sights on Walker. Battelle
used the inside lane on lap 12 and grabbed the leads they entered the first
turn. Battelle and Lou Levea then began their two car race for the leads they
had the cars to beat in this race.

Another car fans focused on was Mike Bond's 90. Bond, the high point man, had
problems in his heat race, and was forced to run the consi. They figured out
the car, and Bond blasted his way to the top five in the first half of the
race.

Back up front, Battelle, opened a second gap, and was in control of this
race. Levea couldn't catch the leader, and Battelle went unchallenged in the last
10 laps of the race. He drove a clean race, and won by a 5 car length margin
at the finish.

"I'd like to thank the guys one the crew," said the happy winner. "There was
a lot of hard work in the garage. We just kept plugging at it. We started up
front, and had a fast race car."

Joe Miller picked up his second feature win of the season in the nightcap.
Miller took the lead from Bobby Newman on the third lap, and held the 77 back
the rest of the race. Newman pulled to the pits on lap 19, apparently thinking
the race was over. Miller had a 15 car length advantage at the finish ahead of
Dewayne Lemay.

News and Notes...26 supers, 33 limiteds and 14 stock cars were pitside..stock
heats went to Bobby Newman and Joe Miller, while Star Matteson, Kevin
Battelle and Tony white won limited heats. Mike Bond won the limited
consi..Supermodified heat race wins went to Tim Snyder, Bob Goutermout and Bob Bond. Mike Bond
has a 17 point lead in the limited division with one race left. Doug Reaume
leads stock points. Nokie Fornoro won the Friday night ISMA race at Lee
speedway, while 17 year old sensation Bobby Santos won the ISMA Classic at Oxford
Plains Speedway Saturday night. Saturday, at Oswego, is the last regular season
race, with gates open at 4 pm, and first heat at 6 pm.

LONG NIGHT AT OSWEGO SEES JOE GOSEK, PETE BRITTAIN, KEVIN KNOPP AND BRUCE STANTON TAKE WINS AFTER RAIN DELAY

Oswego, NY 8/2/03- A heavy thunderstorm threatened to end the Advance Auto
Parts-sponsored racing at Oswego Speedway Saturday night, but a Herculean clean-up
effort allowed the racing to go on after all. Finishing early Sunday morning
after a four-hour rain delay, all races were completed with Joe Gosek taking his
third supermodified win of the rain-soaked season in the Muldoon 50 and thus
strengthening his lead in the championship points with only 4 features left on
the docket. Second year limited super driver Kevin Knopp took home a
career-first in that division. While Jeff Hamman claimed but lost victory in the super
stocks to a dq. Bruce Stanton was declared the winner of that 20-lap event.
Pete Brittain of Oakhurst, NJ repeated his 2002 modified victory by winning his
second RoC qualifier in as many years at Oswego.

Joe Gosek took over the lead on a lap 46 restart from a strong-running Brian
Sweeney who had led from lap 2. Sweeney, running out of fuel, bogged coming
out of turn two as the white waved and he indicated his predicament to those
drivers behind. Gosek slipped by Sweeney as did Jeff Holbrook as the number 3
fell rapidly backwards. Gosek, who earned double points for the win, was greeted
with some boos in victory lane. Said Joe, "It's too bad. I don't think I
really could have passed Brian. He was too loose. He had a good race. It was
unfortunate. Then I caught him on the restarts and thought what do I do - pass him
or follow him? You're kind of handcuffed. Evidentially, I did the right thing.
He had a good car. He didn't point to the tank until coming down for the white
flag of that last restart. I said to myself, 'Oh boy, he's running out of
fuel'. Then he choked up up here and I knew he was in trouble. That's too bad. It
was Brian's race. He was good on restarts and able to get away. It just
didn't work out for him. My guys work really hard on this car. We keep finishing
and that's the key going toward this point's race. And, thanks to all the
sponsors - Burke's Home Center, Ricelli's, Ed Izyk, Century 21, Laqua's, all the
people that help. We appreciate it. If Brian gave us a win tonight, we had to
take it. What are you going to do?"

Jeff Holbrook, was tailing Gosek at race end, also saw Sweeney pointing at
the tank and was able to get by cleanly. Holbrook, with two other cars he owns
in the top six, was ecstatic with the results. "Ah, all three cars up front,"
said Jeff. "That's what I like to see. It was a good, clean race and I'm
happy. Russ Wood (who will drive one of the machines at Classic) will have to wait
a couple more weeks to practice."

Bobby Bond was right behind Holbrook at the finish and he was happy just to
be there. Said the Mexico, NY driver, "This was a tough one. A lot of cars
dropped out. My car was pretty good, but not good enough. We still have some work
to do. But, we're happy with third. So many cars dropped out there, I wasn't
sure where I was. I'd like to really thank the crew and all my sponsors.
They've all been great this year."

Brian Sweeney, after a strong heat run, took his 3 out front after passing
Doug Kells for the lead just one circuit into the 50 lap supermodified main.
Sweeney was able to survive onslaught after onslaught on restarts, pulling away
with a vengeance as he looked for that elusive career-first.

The race had numerous stops, mainly for minor incidents, the first of which
came on lap 12 when Howard Page spun. Sweeney was able to power away on this
restart as Holbrook, Doug Kells, Tim Gareau and Keith Gilliam were early top
five runners.

Yellow two came on lap 18 with the 99 of Pat Lavery and 22 of Joey Hawksby
involved. Hawksby got the hook as Lavery continued.

Moving into second on lap 25 was a fast moving Tim Gareau who came by
Holbrook for second. Chasing closely were Joe Gosek and Tim Snyder as Kells and
Sitterly battled behind.

Sweeney maintained his strong run and again fended off advances when Craig
Rayvals spun in turn two on lap 31. Gareau and Gosek applied intense pressure to
Sweeney but the Oswego man was bound and determined to get the one that got
away earlier this season.

Lap traffic began to play a role by lap 38 as Gareau, Gosek and Snyder tried
to pinch Sweeney off to no avail until lap 39 when yet another yellow flew for
a spinning Jerry Curran.

Tim Gareau was trying valiantly to get Sweeney, but Brian did not give up.
The drama began to play out on the next yellow on lap 43. Gareau's car suddenly
died with a broken torque arm on the backstraight to bring out the yellow.
Almost simultaneously, Otto Sitterly, who is chasing Gosek for points, puffed
some smoke from his 79 and pulled in. Otto said later that a chunk of rubber
broke his fuel line. The third car to exit here was the fourth place runner,
Snyder who also broke a fuel line. Three cars fell out of the top five in one
instant. Snyder was able to come back out, but when the 94 brought out the yellow
on this restart, Tim pitted again.

Throughout all this, Sweeney was in command and with 5 laps facing him, he
looked to be able to pull away from Gosek now with ease. Joe indicated later
that the car took 4-5 laps to get going and that's all Sweeney needed to pull off
his first win.

But, on lap 46, the last yellow flew for Howie Page and Keith Gilliam and
this is where the heartbreak came. Sweeney, as aforementioned, bobbled off turn
two, his 3 starving for fuel. While others went by, Sweeney could only watch
and drive into the pits, just a handful of laps shy of a victory. Gosek,
Holbrook, Bobby Bond, Dave Trytek and Doug Kells fell in behind Gosek for the
remainder of the race as Team Holbrook's third car, the 40 of Bob Magner, ran sixth.
And, that's the way they crossed under the checkered, just past midnight.

Dave Trytek commented later, a little confused as to what had happened in
front of him, "Did we get fourth? I don't even know. The car wasn't that good.
It was pretty loose off - pushing in - loose off - loose in - pushing off. I
don't know if I was driving bad tonight or what. I think a lot of people wrecked
in front of me and I got fourth. I think someone in front of me may have been
leaking something because a few times it was pretty slick."

The happiest man in the top five was Kells, who entered that realm for the
first time Saturday night. "I love this. It's beautiful. It was unexpected. The
guys did something and whatever it was, the car ran freakin' great all night
long. I just kept her going straight and tried to stay out of trouble. This is
perfect. I couldn't be happier. I am totally excited."

Kevin Knopp, whose crew nicknamed him Mr. Consi earlier in the season, lost
his moniker quickly Saturday night as he won a limited super heat and went on
to victory in the 25-lap main. The second year Oswego driver, who started the
division with no previous racing experience, exuded veteran qualify after
taking the lead on lap 4 from rookie Tim Barbeau. Knopp was chased most of the way
by 2002 track champ Mark Regan, but he never faltered. Only a couple cautions
dotted the way for Knopp, but Regan was never more than a car length away.

Yellow flew once on lap 13 for Guard Nearbin and Chip Wood with Wood getting
hooked.

Knopp felt intense pressure from Regan, Mike Barnes, Steve Austin up front
while J.J. Andrews, Mike Bond, Gregg Davis, Chris Proud and Tony White diced
behind.

It was clean green racing to the finish now as Regan did all he could to put
Knopp in second. Barnes and Austin were right there looking for a slip up that
never came. In a most enthusiastic victory lane, Knopp smiled widely and
said, "I'm not the consi king anymore! I finally graduated. The car was running
good all night. I don't know how close Mark (Regan) was there but he raced me
clean and I thank him for that. I'd like to thank my crew and all the sponsors.
I hope we can repeat this now!"

Regan, Barnes, Austin and Gregg Davis rounded out the top five with Andrews,
Proud, Bond, White and Kris Meyn completing the top ten.

The super stocks took to the race track at approximately 1:10 after waiting
patiently for their turn to shine. The 34 of Jason Spaulding took up the lead
from the pole but a lap 2 yellow flew to slow things for the 38 of George
Knight.

Spaulding had Bruce Stanton, Jeff Hamman and Doug Reaume bearing down on him
on the restart and he wasn't able to hold off Stanton long. Coming on strong
was Spencer Speedway regular, Jeff Hamman, who was second ahead of three-time
feature winner to date, Doug Reaume.

A massive foam cruncher came on lap 12 when the 85 of Dave Bock was forced to
the outside with Bock doing a number on his front end and the foam blocks.
Chris Lupa also received the hook here.

On the restart, Hamman was by Stanton, leaving Reaume to challenge in third.
Dwayne LeMay moved up to fourth as Bobby Newman charged into the top five as
the race neared conclusion.

Hamman pulled away from the pack in the remaining flagless five and came into
victory lane amid some confusion in regard to his tires. He had indicated
that he had checked a website which said they were runable, but unfortunately for
Jeff, he had not been in the Oswego rules. He later was dq'd giving the win
to rookie Stanton, which was his first ever. Reaume, LeMay, Newman and
Skilinski were moved into the top five as Hamman was credited with last instead of
first.

BRITTAIN REPEATS AS ROC MOD QUALIFIER
"I just like this place" said an elated Pete Brittain in victory lane after
winning his second straight RoC qualifier at Oswego Speedway. He managed to
hold off one of the winningest modified drivers in history, George Kent and
another driver who knew the way to victory lane at the fast 5/8'ths, Jan Leaty. It
was Brittain's first win on the RoC trail this season. Starting outside pole,
Brittain took up the front spot from the get go and never gave it up, except
momentarily, for the entire 50 laps. Four early yellows did not deter Brittain
who would find Leaty and Kent knocking on the door hard from lap 15 on for
Leaty and from lap 32 on for Kent.

Said Brittain in victory lane after receiving his RoC qualifier plaque, "It
was a good hard race. George (Kent) and I had some good hard racing there at
the end too. With about four to go I don't know if I hit something or what, the
car just wiped out on me and George got underneath a little bit and we
touched. I think that was the only time in the whole race that the car acted up a
little bit. I knew George would have to go to the outside near the end there
because he wasn't getting underneath me. Tonight there just wasn't much of an
outside. So, I felt that he'd have to go around. I learned that in the heat race
tonight and actually in last year's race. For some reason in this August race
it's tough to pass on the outside. It seems like the track is better when we
come here in September for whatever reason. I'd like to thank this crew. They
maintain this car in Elmira, NY and I tell you it's top notch. T.J. and his
crew and my crew who travel with me. They all do a great job!"

Brittain drag-raced Rusty Smith down to the line for the lead on the green
with Rusty falling into second. A quick yellow fell on lap 5 bunching the field,
but Brittain easily pulled away on the restart.

Smith was Brittain's main challenger as his team car driven by T.J.
Potrzebowski held up third. Soon a pair of sixes - Leaty and Ken Troyer, moved in to
make it five. Coming up through the pack was perennial Oswego winner George Kent.

Yellow flew again twice on lap 18. One time it was for two or three cars
which were all able to restart. It fell the second time for Josh Gregg's 18 which
exited on the hook. Lee Sherwood also pitted here.

Brittain took off, but had Leaty tacked to his bumper lap after lap as Rusty
Smith, Potrzebowski and Troyer held off Kent, but not for long. George moved
up to third by midway and off the trio went into battle.

On lap 27, Leaty came alongside of Brittain, pushed hard by Kent. Jan
actually nosed out front for a brief time, but Brittain held his ground racing
door-to-door around the track. T.J. held up fourth as a distance away, Smith battled
Jan's son, Mike Leaty.

With ten to go, Kent was a tappin' and a tappin' on Brittain's back end, but
this New Jersey driver knew how to hold on. For the remainder of the race, it
was anybody's ballgame, but it was Brittain's race to lose and he wasn't about
to. One bobble came on lap 46 when the 99 slowed ever so slightly and Kent
checked a bit not to hit him. Leaty did likewise. A brief brush, as Brittain
alluded to, was all that occurred. He recovered rapidly and headed to the finish
line with Kent, Potrzebowski and Leaty trailing. Smith finished up the top
five. T.J's car and crew pulled into victory lane to congratulate their team
driver.

Kenny Troyer, Tony Hanbury, Mike Leaty, Tony Seseley, and Matt Hirschman,
rounded out the top ten.

Mod notes... Modified heats went to Jim Willis, Jan Leaty, T.J. Potrzebowski
and Ryan Holland. The Holland heat saw a wild ride by Todd Smith who climbed
the catch fence on the front straight before landing in the foam blocks in turn
one. Smith was okay. His number 52 modified was not....Rain threatened as the
two modified consis were complete and won by Rick Kluth and J.R. Kent. Rain
began pelting the speedway just after Kent's win and the long wait and mop up
followed until cars reached the track again at 9:35.

Those wishing to stay in the back can park across from the main entrance to the back grandstand.

All carload tickets must be purchased from the temporary ticket booth that will be set up just inside the City Line Road gate, which is the campground entrance for Classic Weekend. Any type of vehicle will qualify with the exception of buses, motor homes, RV's and camping trailers. The normal ticket windows will also be open in the front and back for single purchases at a reduced price of $5.00 for adults and $.25 for kids.

The anniversary weekend kicks off on Friday night, August 8th at 6 pm with the WSEN Super Cruise. There will be over 300 hundred classic cars, custom rods, muscle cars, antiques and motorcycles on display along with live entertainment from 7 to 10 pm provided by Smokin'. The Oswego Speedway concession stands will be open throughout the night and WSEN will be spinning its prize wheel for those in attendance. Admission is FREE.

Then, the gates swing open on Saturday, August 9th at 11 am for the WSCP Country Fest featuring platinum-selling singing sensation Patty Loveless. Popular artist Penny Jo Pullus from Austin, Texas will take to the stage at 12 noon followed by local favorites Frank and Julie Crawford at 1 pm. Headliner Patty Loveless is scheduled to perform all of her favorites from 2:30 pm to 4 pm. The $15.00 price allows concert goers admission into the Speedway that night at no extra charge. There are a limited number of $10.00 tickets still available for the WSCP Country Fest at the Oswego Speedway Box Office, Ticketmaster Outlets and at the Landmark Theatre Box Office.

At 4 pm, concert goers will exit the infield through the main pit gate and as soon as the infield is secured, the race car haulers will be brought in from the 3rd turn pit gate to reduce the amount of traffic on East Albany Street. Anyone with a concert ticket will be able to re-enter the Speedway immediately at the front or back grandstand admission gate.

Competitors will be able to purchase pit passes at the Box Office from 12 noon on, but all haulers must go to the 3rd turn pit gate for entry into the Speedway. Haulers will be allowed through the City Line Road gate beginning at 3:30 pm, but no haulers will enter the pits until after the concert is over. An abbreviated warmup session will begin just as soon as the crews can unload the cars and the first heat should get underway between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm.

MIKE ORDWAY CLAIMS FIFTH MR. SUPERMODIFIED TITLE; ROB PULLEN GETS FIRST MR. LIMITED SUPER WIN AND DOUG REAUME IS MR. SUPER STOCK

Oswego, NY - It was a wild one at Oswego Speedway Saturday - but that's pretty much tradition when the big money Dunkin Donut/Galloway Century 21 night rolls into town. Eighty-three cars were in the pits looking for the gold. When the dust settled, Mike Ordway had walked away with a record-breaking fifth Mr. Supermodified title and $10,000 to boot. Rob Pullen led most of the way in the Mr. Limited Super event with Kris Meyn tapping at the back door for the last nine laps to take that $1,000 check. Doug Reaume inherited the lead from Chris Lupa in the Mr. Super Stock main with just seven to go when Lupa broke, taking home the $500 check as Joe Miller was hot on his tail .

The large crowd on hand was witness to one great 4-way battle for the Mr. Supermodified 10 grand. Todd Stowell, the early leader, had Tim Gareau, Joe Gosek and Mike Ordway bearing down on him lap after lap after things strung out, but he held his ground until just 20 to go. Gareau exited suddenly with a broken injector screw leaving Ordway one less car between him and lead. With Gosek giving up Mike's line at this point, Ordway took the Wilwood Brakes, Harrington Trucking & Paving sponsored-61 around Stowell and was headed easily to his 5th Mr. Supermodified win.

"Five times," said Mike. "It's awesome just to win this race once. I kind of wanted to get my rhythm going and to stay out of trouble for a while. I almost got into trouble doing that. It was a tough one. I had a few tough calls. I'm pretty well worn out. I don't know how I got through that mess on lap 12. I figured I was all done right there.

That was a pretty good battle with Todd, Joe and Timmy. I was just waiting - waiting for my line to open up. Joe was out in my line, but he couldn't make it work. I had to get under him and go. I wanted to be patient. It only takes the last lap to win. I finally figured that out and it's working. I'm ready for Classic now."

Gosek, who was in the hunt all night, came up a distant second to the high flying Booth-owned 61. He stated matter-of-factly, "We finished where we were supposed to. We had the second best car out there. We'll just keep plugging away. I thought we had a better car until we changed the car during the week to go a little faster and we hurt ourselves. If it were a little bit better we might have given Mike a run. He's just too stout right now. We're in the point race here. If we finish in the top two every week like we have been doing, we'll be happy. The guys work hard. The car's been very consistent. We kind of wore it out a little bit early tonight in that battle between Stowell and Gareau. And, Mike was just sitting back there.... I could hear him, right on my rear end. It was just a matter of time before he was going to blow me off. Once I got down out of the high groove, he came around on the top side. They are just too strong right now. But we'll keep working to try and beat them, that's for sure."

And, for third place runner, Dave Trytek, it was just a matter of avoiding trouble throughout the reds and yellows. "Third place. We learned something tonight. We got in that first red flag and tore the nose off the car and actually it ran a lot better without a nose. So we're going to something new in the front. But, we survived. That's all it was was survival tonight. "

An early motor problem put Greg Furlong out of the action just prior to the green flag, which sent Shannon Groves into the fray. Twenty-five supers roared to action as the flag waved, but yellow flew suddenly for Lou Cicconi, driving the Strong 96. One lap later, former Mr. Supermodified titlist Bob Goutermout, headed pitside with a broken torque arm.

Stowell had his new car cranking and off he went on the restart, leaving Hal LaTulip, Craig Rayvals, Bill Peri, Jerry Curran and Tim Gareau way behind.

Red bunched the field on lap 12 as a massive pileup occurred in turn two. Jerry Curran's 24 got sideways, possibly with help, and everyone piled in. As the massive cleanup ensued, pounding and banging could be heard throughout the pit area. Done at this early juncture were Cicconi, Bob Bond, Brian Sweeney, Ray Graham, and Bobby Santos III.

Once more Stowell had command on the restart, but Gareau was now tacked to the rear of the 89. Joining Timmy moments later were Joe Gosek and Mike Ordway and then the classic battle began. Lap after lap, Stowell held his line. Lap after lap, Gosek would pull alongside Gareau as they tried to get by Stowell. Ordway just waited. Stowell described the scenario later, "The new car really holds a tight line. I knew Timmy, Joe and Mike were back there because of all the camera flashes. I knew they were back there having fun."

Fun wasn't what Gareau eventually had as he suddenly pitted on lap 29 leaving the other three to continue the fight. Coming up through the field was Rayvals, Trytek, Peri, Gilliam and Sitterly, but Hal LaTulip, in fifth, held them all back.

Ordway made his move after Gareau's demise and was in the lead on lap 30 off turn four. Red fell one lap later to stop the action again. Affected were Gilliam, Bill Sharkey, Bob Magner and Doug Kells. In the interim, Gareau's team had fixed his problem and he went back out to finish the race, although two laps down.

Ordway was sailing out front of Gosek, Stowell, Trytek and LaTulip as the race wore down. One more red flag saw an extremely hard hit by Tim Snyder on the front stretch. Snyder apparently brushed tires off four and ran high on the front wall on two wheels before ending in the blocks in turn one. He was okay, but the 0 was in bad shape, nose to tail.

This was the last stop of the race as Mike Ordway now had a fifth Mr. Super title in his sights. Gosek cruised behind with the action now on Trytek, Sitterly, Stowell, Howie Page and the remainder of the field.

Ordway and Gosek took the checkered well out front of Trytek, Sitterly and Stowell in the top five.

Sitterly commented on his fourth place, "Well, we got wrecked. Lap 12 in one of the wrecks. We bent the axle. We straightened it out the best we could. Other than being a little bit tight at the end, it wasn't too bad. We'll take fourth tonight."

And, Stowell, who had looked to have a possible first Mr. Supermodified race in his grasp, was not displeased with fifth.

"There was some stout equipment in the field tonight. My hats off to Clyde and Mike. A top notch team, top notch owner, and a top notch driver. We're pretty happy to finish fifth. The car was really good until we had all those red flags and yellows and heat cycles in the tires. The car went from quite good, to neutral to real loose. So, we held on. Compared to where we ended up last year, we're really happy. Thanks to my family, crew and sponsors Haun Welding, Clearview Home and Leisure, Colosse Cheese, East Coast Resorts, Real Rock 100.7, Dudley Construction and Rometco. It's our first top five in two years. "

Finishing up the top ten were Page, Rayvals, Peri, Pat Lavery and LaTulip.

The limited super 30 lapper was led early by Danny Kapuscinski but Rob Pullen, who had won a heat earlier, was doing all he could to get the lead right from the start. Steve Austin, Mark Regan and Bob Bogwicz chased Pullen in his pursuit.

Yellow fell on lap 6 for several cars including Gregg Davis, and Jack Patrick. Mike Bond also pitted at this time.

A lap later, the mayhem continued with a massive pileup off turn four. Kris Meyn's 86 somehow came down sideways with cars going every which way to avoid. Austin and Bogwicz were the only two who went into the pits here. Bogwicz did not return.

Pullen continued his run the green, but coming up quickly was Mike Bond. Unfortunately, although really fast, Bond was a lap car. He passed Pullen on lap 10, but only to unlap himself. In second through fifth were Danny K, Regan, Dave Cliff and Doug Cliff. Austin, who had pitted earlier did so again on lap 10.

Winding his way through traffic was J.J. Andrews who was into third on lap 12. Regan, Dave Cliff and Doug Cliff were being challenged at every corner by Chris Proud as the race approached halfway.

On lap 15, yellow flew and Andy Noto went pitside. This yellow allowed Bond to take up his rightful spot at the end of the field, now in the lead lap.

Pullen was alone out front on the restart, but it was now Kris Meyn who was the man on the move. Meyn was up to third on lap 21 and into second one lap later.

Yellow on lap 23 put Meyn in shooting distance of Pullen and he took many shots in his attempt to get by the quiet racing plumber. They brushed and touched as the race came to a close, but both survived to finish one-two. Danny Kapuscinski held off Andrews for third while Mark Regan, who has had horrible luck to date, finished fifth.

Said Mr. Limited Supermodified Rob Pullen simply amid the loud cheers, "I just want to thank everybody. JR Comerford, Dexter's Auto, Luther, County Video - everybody. I knew Kris was right there. He's tough. He's fast."

The super stock finale for the night went quickly. David Bock led the early going with Joe Skilinski and Chris Lupa in pursuit.

Bock led those boys around in his sleek 85 as Bobby Newman and Don Pringle held onto the top five spots.

Second place runner Skilinski exited the track suddenly at around lap 8, leaving Lupa in second, Newman third, Doug Reaume fourth and Pringle fifth.

Young Newman was into second on lap 9 and headed for race leader Bock. As the front runners approached a much slower Jim Siegel, the field bunched, Newman tapped Bock and the yellow flew for Newman who was out of the action after running second.

Chris Lupa became the new leader when he passed Bock on lap 15 when Bock appeared to slow dramatically. But Lupa would only hold that number one spot for four laps as Doug Reaume, with Joe Miller glued to his bumper, closed in. Both came by Lupa on lap 19.

It was the Reaume-Miller show to the end as the duo left the rest behind. Lupa, Bock, Bruce Stanton, Dwayne LeMay and Pringle were side-by-side fighting for spots well behind the leaders. At the checkered it was Reaume, Miller, Lupa, Bock and Stanton with LeMay, Pringle, Randy Storms, George Knight and Siegel in the top ten.

Reaume said excitedly, "This is great. After the last time. Last year I got taken out and then the second place guy went out and Joe Miller won. The exact same thing happened this year, so I figured I better win this one to keep the record rolling. I'd like to thank my sponsors Wilber-Duck Chevy, The Carpet Man and Volney Tire. "

MIKE ORDWAY LEADS WAY AT OSWEGO WITH WHITE AND WALKER IN THE LIMITEDS; NEWMAN
AND JOE MILLER IN SUPER STOCKS AND BURD IN THE CUP LITES

Oswego, NY - Mike Ordway continued his dominance at Oswego Speedway Saturday night as he picked up
his second win of the season at the lakeside oval. Ordway started eleventh,
inherited the lead when leader Bob Goutermout crashed out of the race on lap
24. The win was Ordway's 26th career supermodified feature win at Oswego
Speedway. A double header in the limiteds found Tony White and Shawn Walker winners
with Bobby Newman and Joe Miller taking the twin bill in the super stocks. Bill
Burd took home the Cup Lite honors.

Craig Rayvals and Brian Sweeney led the field down for the 45 lap race.
Rayvals got the jump at the start of the race, as the field settled in behind. Tim
Gareau and Dave Trytek used the inside lane to get through early race traffic,
while Bob Goutermout, Tim Snyder and Mike Ordway used the outside groove to
move forward.

Goutermout settled in on Rayvals back bumper in the early laps, with Gareau,
Sweeney, Sitterly, Snyder, and Bob Bond in tow. Lap 3 saw Goutermout place the
red 77 in the top spot, as he tried to put distance between himself and the
rest of the pack.

He stopped watches at 17.66, as he built his lead. Fans began to keep an eye
on the 61, as Ordway began to pick his way to the front. Yellow flew on lap 6,
as Jerry Curran looped the 24 car in the fourth turn. This put Gareau on the
deck of the 77 on the restart.

Mike Ordway began his furious charge to the front on this restart. He went to
the outside of Bob Bond on the restart for seventh place. One half lap later,
he breezed by the Sweeney 3 car for 6th. Lap 8 Ordway went to the inside of
the Snyder 0 car on the front straightaway for fifth.

Back up front, Goutermout kept stopping watches in the 17.6's, as the 77 and
5 built a six car length lead over Rayvals and Sitterly. Sitterly moved to
third one lap later, as it was time to go. Ordway followed him through, and now
the scoreboard read 77-5-79-61. Consistent 17.5 laps kept the 77 in control,
but the 79 and 61 were closing in.

Lap 17 saw Ordway make the move to third by Sitterly in the first turn. At
the same time, Goutermout came into slower cars for the first time, which he
cruised by on the outside with ease. At the halfway point of the race, Goutermout
was ahead by three lengths, as Gareau was now under pressure from Ordway for
second place. Gareau didn't give up the spot easy, as Ordway had to work for
laps to get by. Further back in the pack, Joe Gosek was methodically picking
his way forward from his 23rd starting spot. The 50 suffered a broken fuel pump
in the heat race, and was relegated to running the consolation race.

Lap 24 saw the complexion of the race change with a yellow flag. Goutermout
was coming up to lap the 24 of Curran. Curran, running the 77 hard, got
sideways and spun in front of the 77, inflicting damage on the right front of the 77
car. Goutermout's lead was now gone, and Ordway was in control with 20 laps to
go.

Once up front, Ordway was never seriously challenged. Fans attention then
moved to Joe Gosek, as he continued to march through the field. Gosek had worked
his way up to sixth during this caution flag period. On the restart, he worked
by Bond for position. Then in one move, the 50 went by both the 0 and 79
cars. He had to go back behind the 79 s a debris caution came out on lap 25. Gosek
passed Sitterly on the restart, but he was losing ground.

Ordway was up front cruising at 17.32 laps, while Gareau, Gosek, Sitterly and
Snyder settled into top five spots. Further back, Rayvals, Trytek and Page
thrilled the crowd with a tight race for sixth position.

With 10 laps to go, Ordway had build up a 2.31 second lead, as it appeared he
was on a Sunday cruise. The lead was up to 2.7 seconds, until the caution
lights went on again. Eighth running Dave Trytek spun the 70 car out of the
fourth turn. Gosek made a run by Gareau on the restart, but was 1.41 seconds behind
the leader with laps running down. They both turned consistent 14.45 and 47
laps in the last few circuits, and Mike Ordway cruised ahead with a 1.87 second
win over Joe Gosek. Tim Gareau was third, followed by Otto Sitterly and Tim
Snyder.
"The car was running good tonight," Mike said after the win. "I couldn't do
it without the crew. These guys make my job look easy. I had to work a little
harder tonight. The car is running good now."
"He was fast," runner up Gosek commented after the race. "To start where we
did, and finish where we did, it shows a good, solid effort.
The limited supermodifieds had a two feature night on tap. Tony White won the
first event of the night, the cancelled race from last week., while Shawn
Walker picked p the win in the nightcap. Limited features to White and Walker Tony
White brought the white #4 home in victory lane in the cancelled rain from
last week. White, who started third, took the lead from David Gruel on lap none,
and never looked back for the victory. Steve Austin was right behind in the
end.

Jack Patrick and Davis Gruel led the field down to the green flag. Gruel
grabbed the lead at the start of the race, as he powered off the outside groove
for the early lead. Patrick fell in behind early, and White, Austin and Mark
Regan rounded out the top five early in the race.
Chip Wood brought put the early caution on lap 5, with a second turn spin.
Grue3l held the line on the restart, and looked smooth in the early laps of the
race.
The cars raced single file in the early laps, as everyone looked for raving
room. White picked off Patrick on a restart to move behind Gruel, and was
challenging for the top spot. Bob Bogwicz brought out the caution flag on lap 8.
White was all over Gruel on the restart, as Gruel drifted up in turn one. White
filled the whole and grabbed the lead. Another yellow slowed the action two
laps later. Steve Austin followed White's move into second place, right on the
back bumper of the #4. Austin tried high and low, but White remained in control
of the race as he timed in at 20.02.Austin made an attempt again to get by on
lap 20 on the high side, but was denied as White kept the #4 working on the
low side of the speedway Austin made a last lap try on the #4, but to no avail.
Tony White grabbed the checkers, his second career Oswego win." The car was
good," White said after the race. "It was loose in the
beginning, and it was pretty loose all race long. He looked a couple of time
son me as I could see him, but we had a good car. In the nightcap, Shawn
Walker came away with the win in the companion 25 lapper. Walker started the race
back in row four, and maneuvered his way forward fo
